Yesterday marked the 25th anniversary of my arrival on this beautiful planet we call Earth. A friend I visited didn’t know it was my birthday and felt conflicted that she didn’t have a gift for me ahead of time. She has beautiful flower arrangements that she lovingly handcrafted around her office. We talk for a moment but I couldn’t stay very long. As I was preparing to take my leave I noticed an aha expression on her face right before she says “oh there’s the gift” speaking of the lilies next to me as I walking towards the staircase to leave her office. The conflicted knot disappeared instantly as she handed me the lily. Much like the fragrance of the flower itself the symbolism is very uplifting. #ikebana #lily #birthdaygift #gift #flower #water #simplicity #elegance #25 #Ransburgart
